The Carl Perkins Assistantship Grant annually provides two $500.00 grants, one to a high school senior pursuing CTE coursework at a postsecondary institution in Kentucky, and one to a current postsecondary CTE student continuing his or her studies at a Kentucky institution. The grant honors the memory of long-time Eastern Kentucky Congressman Carl D. Perkins, who chaired the U.S. House of Representatives Education Committee for many years and supported CTE.
